Assignment 5 - Virtual Tour
Once again striving to make my assignments fit into my final website design, I chose to stretch the idea of a Virtual Tour for Assignment 5. Instead of exploring a physical location, I instead focused my efforts on providing a virtual tour of a new set of equipment that my school purchased in June, the littleBits Workshop Set.
This turned out to be exceptionally challenging as I really struggled to capture consistent and clear pictures of the various elements of the kit. Who knew getting good photos of inanimate objects could be so hard? From lighting to weird reflections to focus issues, this was a real challenge. Putting it together was only a small part of the battle after spending hours trying to get the images needed to move forward.
One way or the other, here is my finished Virtual Tour. I built it in Google Presentations and had to learn about their masking and image cropping/resizing tools in order to make everything fit.
